It’s the first full day of the 2016 Robert W. Greene Summer Institute for High School Journalists, and already our students have displayed incredible talent and skills. We had a great discussion about news drivers after “News Over Breakfast,” and spent some time talking about where stories come from and the basics of reporting. They’re getting a lesson in photojournalism from Pulitzer-Prize winning photographer John Conrad Williams right now.
This is always a highlight of the students’ week, and it’s not hard to see why. Professor Williams forges a connection with each and every one of them and makes a complicated subject accessible and fun.
Moments like these remind me of why this program is so special. Welcome, Greene Team. Here’s to another wonderful week!
