It’s been two full days of the Robert W. Greene Summer Institute for High School Journalists and so far, I’ve had a wonderful time. On the second day, we learned how to use cameras and video cameras, and terms such as ISO, shutter speed and aperture. We spent about two hours taking photos around the School of Journalism – both indoors and outdoors. There were so many objects and forms of nature to use to photograph. But then I saw my pants and I loved how the rips looked on camera. Then, I changed the ISO on my camera and zoomed in a bit and took a picture of my “cheap jeans,” as said by one of the teachers. LOL! Distressed jeans are a style, not jeans that have ripped over time. They’re not even cheap, as they cost the same amount or even more than regular jeans. I found the comment hilarious, but just wanted to express the truth behind distressed jeans. Also, this picture looks like it came from Tumblr or Pinterest, giving it a vintage feel. I can’t wait to take more pics of our time here. I might just want to take the Nikon camera home!
