Our eighth Greene Institute has come to a close and, once again, we’re reminded of why Bob Greene wanted to create an intensive boot camp for young aspiring journalists.
It’s not about the technology, as Dean Howie Schneider reminded us on Monday. It’s about the story.
This week, the Greene Team worked hard, day and night, to produce the best stories they could. They worked alone, in teams and side-by-side with professional and volunteer writing coaches, photographers and multimedia producers.
Within each edit, lessons were learned that we hope our students carry with them long after the haze of this week fades.
We’ll carry with us memories of their tenacity, intelligence and courage in the face of so many new challenges. You made us proud, Greene Team. We think Bob would agree.
