Welcome to the jungle

My “college experience” began with bonding over Big Hero 6. My roommates and I broke out the snacks and DVDs to help us settle in on our first night. Surprisingly, we also figured out a showering system that works extremely well. We all get along great and have gotten very comfortable for only being acquainted for a day or two.

Waking up at 6 am was pretty terrible, after going to bed at 12:30 am. Still, we all managed to get along and accommodate for the fact that there is 5 girls to one bathroom.

After breakfast the whole team had a discussion about our objectives and press conference etiquette.

Soon after, we had our first press conference with Steven Adelson. We got an idea of how they work and also learned about a very accomplished individual.

After lunch we got a basic photography lesson from Pulitzer Prize-winner, Professor John Conrad Williams. He introduced the general information needed to correctly expose our pictures. We began outside and then worked our way inside to test out all different ISO settings.

After dinner, we got a videography lesson from Professor Ricioppo. We learned the basic functions of the video camera and tripods. He also taught us the necessary parts of a proper news package.

Overall, throughout our first day we learned a lot and worked hard. When we got back to the dorms we were all exhausted. All of my roommates and I got comfy and talked until it was time to go to sleep.

Day two of our journey has begun and I’m excited to see whats in store.
